Celebrating Exceptional A Level Success at Forfar’s Schools

Forfar Education is celebrating a year of outstanding A Level success, with students at both English International College (EIC) in Marbella and Finborough School in Suffolk achieving exceptional results and securing places at leading universities, conservatoires and professional pathways.

At EIC, students achieved the school’s strongest A Level performance since 2017, with an impressive 69% of all grades awarded at A* or A, more than double the current UK average. Twelve students achieved straight A*/A grades across all their subjects, highlighting the academic excellence and commitment demonstrated throughout their Sixth Form careers.

These exceptional results have opened doors to some of the world’s most prestigious universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, University College London, the University of Bath, the University of Edinburgh, King’s College London and the University of Manchester. Students have also secured places at universities in Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands, reflecting EIC’s international outlook and global opportunities.

Meanwhile, Finborough School students delivered another year of strong outcomes across A Levels and BTEC qualifications. In Chemistry, 100% of students achieved grades A-B*, significantly above national figures, while 66% of Mathematics students achieved A-B*. Many students exceeded baseline predictions by at least a full grade, demonstrating Finborough’s continued success in helping students outperform expectations.

Finborough’s BTEC students also excelled, achieving Distinction and Distinction* grades at rates substantially above national benchmarks. Among the school’s highest achievers, Isabelle Manning secured AAA grades and will progress to study Medicine at the University of Leicester, while Megan Fox’s outstanding results have earned her a place at the renowned ArtsEd conservatoire in London.

Across both schools, the results are testament not only to academic achievement but also to the determination, character and aspirations of students as they prepare for the next exciting stage of their educational journeys.
